Biography
In her song "Dreams Come True" her voice echoes "you're my dreams come true, you make all things new". This chorus washes over you as you listen to Magdalena Daley's lyrical heart write testimonies of her strong values of faith, family, and passion -- which emerge in her amazing vocal abilities.
Born and raised in Gävle Sweden, in 1994 she moved two hours south to the city of Stockholm where she began writing her first songs. After seven years honing her songwriting skills, singing in the kitchen to (as she puts it) "just me and God", she started recording some of the hundreds of songs she had compiled. When she moved to Winnipeg, Canada to serve as a volunteer for the homeless as part of an internship she realized the response from those she would perform for was so positive that she decided to branch out and broaden her horizons musically. A bona fide world traveler she wrote songs for animated movies during a 2 year stint in Lisbon, Portugal. She has also lived in Reykjavik, Iceland and currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
Her voice has been drawing critical acclaim to such legendary singer/songwriters such as Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Margo Timmins (Cowboy Junkies), Emmylou Harris and Natalie Merchant.
